Mildred B. "Mickey" Green

Mildred B. "Mickey" Green, 90, a resident of Mandeville and native of Berwick, passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 at Heritage Manor in Mandeville. Mickey was born October 23, 1920 in Berwick the daughter of Ashley Alfonse and Pearl Bernadette Comeaux Boudreaux. She was known as an excellent seamstress who loved to read. Mickey was a very strong person, the rock of the family, and was a motherly figure to many. She always put family first and enjoyed spending time with family more than anything. Survivors include, two daughter, Claire Sampey and husband Larry, of Madisonville, LA, Donna Cloyd and husband Mike, of Denham Springs, LA; one son-in-law, Donald Thibodeaux; seven grandchildren, Tony Sampey, David Sampey, Ann Mary Doss, Brian Cloyd, Derek Cloyd, Michel Thibodeaux, Michelle Thibodeaux; twenty great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Elaine Galjour, of Aransas Pass, TX; one brother, Louis Boudreaux, of Berwick. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Carol Jean Thibodeaux; four brothers, Bob Boudreaux, Stanley Boudreaux, Armand Boudreaux, and Charles "Chocka" Boudreaux. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 12, 2011 at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Berwick. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of mass at the church on Monday. Mickey will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery Mausoleum.
