Marguerite Aucoin Rodriguez

Marguerite Aucoin Rodriguez, 79, a native of Labadieville, and a resident of Morgan City, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Oshsner Extended Care in Kenner. Marguerite was born November 3, 1931 in Labadieville the daughter of Elvin Felix and Aurelia Anita Tardiff Aucoin. Later in life she married Preston Thomas Rodriguez and he preceded her in death on April 18, 2003. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was devoted to her children and she always put everyone else first. Survivors include four children, Jaunita Rodriguez Moxley, of Labadieville, Samuel Thomas Rodriguez, and wife Judy, of Morgan City, Don Joseph Rodriguez and wife Sandra, of Patterson, Dianne Rogers Baillargeon and husband Michael, of Morgan City; seven grandchildren, Lynetta Babin, Danielle Besson, Kayla Boudreaux, Brooks Borque, Blake Rodriguez, Whitney Rogers, Jr., Justin Rogers; Cat, Tiger; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Foreman, of Houma; one brother, Irvin Aucoin, Sr., of Morgan City. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Owen Moxley, Jr.; Cat, Tom. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Marguerite will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
