Lloyd Sons

Lloyd Sons, 81, a life long resident of Berwick, passed away at Teche Regional Medical Center, Thursday, July 12, 2007. Lloyd was a strong willed, but loving man. He was a man of his word and a great storyteller. He enjoyed cooking when he wasn’t building something. Lloyd was good with his hands, a master at making fishing nets, he built his home and his boat, he loved the water, fishing, hunting, traping and hunting Alligators. His priorities were God, family and country. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Irene M. Sons of Berwick, two Sons; Bradley G. Sons and his wife Joyce of Lafayette and Roger H. Sons of Berwick. Lloyd is also survived by five brothers; Horace Sons and his wife Blanche of Patterson, Justin Sons Jr. and his wife Dolores of Bunkie, Myrvel Sons and his wife Patsey of Bayou Vista, Barry Sons of Atlanta, Jimmy Sons and his wife Betty of Lydia and five sisters, Zelda Fromenthal of Berwick, Irma Lee Lombas of Bayou Vista, Shirley Rock and her husband Aaron of Miss., Dianne Sons Sheehan of Berwick, Paulette Wilson and her husband Willard and four grandchildren, Rogena Hartley, Kimberly Norwood, Karen Thibodeaux, Laurie Prejean. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Justin Sons Sr. and Lydia Granier Sons and one brother Ballard Sons Sr. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Twin City Funeral Home from 10am until 2pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Twin City Funeral Home at 2pm. The East St. Mary Funeral Squad will conduct a graveside service in the Berwick Cemetery.
