Henry A. Goulas, 85, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away at Teche Regional Medical Center, Thursday, July 12, 2007. Henry was a member of the St. Mary AARP, VFW and American Legion. Henry was a kind and generous man who was always smiling and had a great sense of humor. He always had a positive attitude and was outspoken. Henry loved LSU and New Orleans Saints football, as well as music and dancing.
Henry is survived by his two sons; Dannie Goulas and his wife Paula of Morgan City and Harold Goulas of Morgan City, one daughter, Mary Taylor and her husband Glenn of Houston, TX, one sister, Henrietta Roussell and her husband Gene of Houston, TX. Henry is also survived by six grandchildren; Kelli Zerangue, Chad Goulas, Daniel Taylor, Mathew Goulas, Dylan Goulas, Cody Goulas and one great-grandchild, Luke Zerangue.
Henry is preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Bertrand Goulas, his parents, Horace and Ida Randall Goulas and one sister, Mollie Marcot.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 9am until 11am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am with Father Greg Fratt officiating. The East St. Mary Funeral Squad will conduct graveside services in Morgan City Cemetery.
