Paul Guidry Jr., 54, A lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away, Tuesday, July 17, 2007 in Lafayette, LA. Paul is the son of Violet St. Pierre Guidry and the late Paul Guidry Sr. Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle.. Paul was a simple and quiet man, who was generous and jokester as well. He loved cooking, especially sauce picante. He loved life and the outdoors, hunting and fishing, Paul was an avid recycler and a friend to all animals and the environment. Paul had a special way about him, he could calm any “ rough sea” situation. He loved the sea and worked there as a Boat Captain. Paul will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially those he touched in his own special way.
Paul is survived by his wife of 34 years, Brenda Fanguy Guidry of Morgan City, one daughter, Jodie R Guidry of Bayou Vista, two sons; Paul P. Guidry III and his wife Melia of Billings, MT and John D. Guidry of Bayou Vista, his mother, Violet M. Guidry of Patterson, one brother, Edmond Guidry and his wife Betty of Bayou Vista, two sisters; Ruth Guidry of Jeanerette and Mary K. Guidry of Houma, four grandchildren, Paul P. Guidry IV, Cameron Guidry, Jace M. Guidry, Cade A. Guidry.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul P. Guidry Sr., two sisters, Maxine Hanks and Eve Marie Guidry, paternal grandparents, Abe Guidry and Eve Mergist Guidry, Maternal grandparents, Edmond St. Pierre and Laura Borel St. Pierre.
The family will receive friends, Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6pm until 10pm, resuming Friday, July 20, 2007 from 9am until 11am.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 20, 2007 at Twin City Funeral Home beginning at 11am. Paul will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
