Rebecca Byrd

Bradis Rebecca Byrd, born October 8, 1983 was called home by our heavenly father from Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, La. on July 18, 2007. Rebecca was a beautiful daughter, sister and friend. She was also a loving and devoted mother to her precious baby girl, Breanna. She loved to laugh and have fun and wanted everyone to do the same. She was always a kind and thoughtful person and would be the first to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed her. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. This world was a much better place because we were blessed by her presence, even if it was only for a short time. Rebecca is survived by her mother and father, Dorinda and Dana Theriot of Bayou L’Ourse, her two brothers, Dana Jr. and his wife Laci (Breaux) and their daughter, Chelsi of Shriever, Callin and his fiance, Macie Prejean of Bayou L’Ourse, maternal grandmother, Mary Jane Russell, several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Floyd Lee Edwards, her paternal grandparents, Callin and Ozite Theriot and her uncle, William Russell. The family will receive friends Sunday July 22, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Monday July 23, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Twin City Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at St. Andrews Catholic Church at 10:45 a.m. Rebecca will be laid to rest in the St. Andrews Cemetery.
