Harriet Weaver Thompson

Harriet Thompson, 78, a resident of Berwick and a native of Opp, Alabama, passed away Monday, August 20, 2007 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Harriet was a sweet person who loved spoiling her grandchild and supported those who needed it. She loved music, dancing, traveling and animals. Harriet enjoyed good fried chicken and gumbo. Harriet was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Berwick. Harriet is survived by one son, Tommy Worley and his wife Sandra of SC, two daughters; Joy Lane Goodson and her husband Jim of Newberry, FL, Eva Thompson of Berwick, one brother, Frank Weaver of Mobile, AL, two sisters; Louise Cortez of Milton, FL, Elizabeth Foxworth of Milton, FL, one Grandchild, Mary Guerdan and two step-grandchildren, Regina and Stacy Boland, two step great-grandchildren; Tyler and Ali Boland. Harriet is preceded in death by her husband Everett Thompson, her parents, Theodore and Addie Cumbie Weaver, one brother, John Weaver, two sisters; Merle Day and Lee Barrineau. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6pm until 9pm. Resuming Wednesday, August 22, 2007 from 9am until 2pm at Twin City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2pm at Twin City Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Harriet will be laid to rest in the Berwick Mausoleum.
