Edison “E.J.” Durapau Jr., 39, a resident of Bayou Vista and a native of Morgan City, passed away Monday, August 27, 2007. “E.J.” Is the son of Edison and Linda Aucoin Durapau Sr. of Morgan City. “E.J.” loved deer hunting, water parks, football and was an excellent cook of seafood, BarB-Que, roast, rice & gravy. “E.J.” Loved to spoil his nieces and nephews, he loved family gatherings and liked to make people laugh. “E.J.” Was the life of the party.
“E.J.” Is survived by his parents, Edison Durapau Sr. and Linda Aucoin Durapau of Morgan City, one sister, Connie D Thornton and her husband Edd of Bayou Vista, one brother, Michael Joseph Durapau and his wife Heather of Patterson, his Maternal Grandmother, Mable Aucoin Pousson of Bayou Vista and his nieces & nephews; Tyler and Dylan Thornton, Devin and Makenna Durapau and Kaitlynn Lester.
“E.J.” was preceded in death by his Grandfathers, Adolph Aucoin and Walter Durapau Sr. and his Grandmother, Marie Durapau.
The family will receive friends at Twin City Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 29, 2007 from 6pm until 9pm, resuming Thursday, August 30, 2007 at Twin City Funeral Home from 9am until 11am. Funeral services will be held at Twin City Funeral Home commencing at 11am on Thursday, August 30, 2007. Edison will be laid to rest in Iberts Memorial Park.
