James Earl Martin

James Earl Martin was born October 19, 1934 in Wewoka, OK passed away September 19, 2014 surrounded by family and friends under the care of hospice after a battle with cancer and pulmonary fibrosis at his home in Patterson, LA. James had lived in Jackson, MI for 24 years prior to his moving to Patterson 2 years ago. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Loretta, brother Derrell Martin of Minot, ND, daughter and son-in-law Teri and Pat Brennan of Jackson, MI, his son and daughter-in-law Jim & Denese Martin of Patterson, LA, grandson P.J. Brennan of Walkill, NY, and granddaughter Michaela Brennan of Jackson, MI. He was zealously one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed speaking to others about the blessings of God’s Kingdom. He also loved gardening and farming. A memorial talk will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 807 Fig St, Morgan City, LA at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 27, 2014.
