Alejandra Dalia Morin, lovingly known by so many as Ale’, was born September 15, 2011, in Morgan City, Louisiana, and left this earth far too soon on April 1, 2026.
Alejandra was the beloved daughter of Kayla Morin and Hodges Matthews.
Ale was full of life and had a personality that could light up any room. She was a natural storyteller, something that came so easily to her, and she always knew how to make people laugh. She loved getting her siblings in trouble, even when they had done absolutely nothing at all.
Ale had a love for volleyball that was like no other. She was always up for a challenge and dreamed of one day playing at the college level. She also loved making TikToks, playing iMessage games, having her hair braided, doing her lashes, and spending time in the mirror. She loved being the life of the party and brought joy to so many people simply by being herself. Alejandra was beautiful, unique, funny, loving, and unforgettable. She was full of dreams and hoped to one day become a forensic pathologist. Her smile, her personality, and the love she gave to others will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Alejandra had a heart full of love. She cared deeply for others and loved helping people through mental health struggles. She had a special bond with her siblings and her Granny and was always very protective of them. She loved giving her mom a hard time and was truly Hodges’ baby girl.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her parents, Kayla Morin and Hodges Matthews; siblings, Oriana, Consuela, Rico, and BJ; Granny Kim Morin; PawPaw Gary “Pug” and Nana Gail Lombas; PawPaw Ruben Morin; and great-grandmother, Hattie Wilson.
Alejandra was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Alfred and Nelda Daigle; great-grandmother, Teresa Romero; and Uncle Travis Morin.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at The Light House Church in Berwick. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 9:00 am. to 11:00 am. Everyone is welcome and the family ask for everyone to wear any color purple.
