Anita Louise Jones Buchanan

Anita Louise Jones Buchanan, 72, a resident of Patterson, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge.

Anita was born February 16, 1952, in Virginia Beach, the daughter of Bender Jones and Mary Morgan Jones.

Anita was one of the strongest individuals you’d ever meet. She loved the Lord and enjoyed her time spent in church. Anita adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Anita had a green thumb and enjoyed spending time in her garden or taking care of her plants. She was an avid Chic-Fil-A eater and we can pray that she is smiling down from heaven with a Chic-Fil-A meal in hand. 

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Buchanan, children, Thomasina “Sina” Rink, Anthony “Tony” Lee Rink Jr., Melinda Rink Roy and husband Damian, John Rink and wife Kasey, and Ben Rink and wife Wendy; 12 grandchildren, Anthony “Trey” III, Jeramiah, Houston, Doriana, Maci, Sara, Hamilton, Matthew, Adelynn, Grace, Dylan, Wyatt; great-grandchild, Oliver. 

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Bender and Mary Jones; two brothers, Fred Jones, Mickey Jones, two sisters, Iris Horton, Jennifer Parker; grandson, John Rink Jr.; first husband, Anthony Rink Sr. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Bethel Pentecostal Fellowship Church in Patterson with Brother Marty Harden officiating. A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Twin City Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Bethel Pentecostal Fellowship from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. After services, Anita will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.
