AnnaLee Marie Landry Daigle, 82, a resident of Berwick, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 24, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
AnnaLee was born in Morgan City, September 18, 1942, the daughter of Elmore Landry and Ollie Pete Landry.
AnnaLee embodied the spirit of generosity and kindness. Her heart was a haven for many, as she approached each day with a selfless desire to uplift those around her. She had an undeniable talent for sewing, quilting, cooking, and pottery-making.
AnnaLee was a devoted member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She regularly shared her homemade biscuits and famous apple butter, spreading sweetness beyond measure. She had a way of checking in on everyone daily, offering support, and embodying the maternal compassion of Mother Mary. Her humble nature and sharp intellect shone through all she did, inspiring those fortunate enough to have known her.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 62 years, Huey Daigle; four children, Damon Daigle and wife Robin, Celeste Daigle Guidry and husband Barry, Michele Daigle Besse and husband Tate, and Christi Hebert; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; one brother, Elmore Jude “E.J” Landry and wife Nanette; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Danette, one great-granddaughter, Chylles “Chy” Madalyn.
The family would like to give their heartful thanks to St. Joseph Hospice, especially AnnaLee’s nurse, Kristie Lejeune for all of their kindness and help during AnnaLee’s illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, with Father Sal Istre officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Twin City Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a Rosary being recited at 1:00 p.m. After Mass, AnnaLee will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
