Ava Marie Jones Carpenter

Ava Marie Carpenter, age 64, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 26, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Ava was a longtime resident of Morgan City.

Ava was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was quick on her feet and was a social butterfly. She loved going to the beach and watching god’s beautiful creation. Above all, she loved her only grandson and participated in his extracurricular activities. Ava leaves this world behind to be united with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May she rest in his heavenly arms.

Ava is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Harry Carpenter, Jr.; children, Trinity Ledet and longtime companion Brad Crawford, and Chauncey Vinning and husband Kevin; grandson, Reese Ledet; mother, Norma Jones; siblings, Edward Jones, Jr. and wife Donna Sue, Samuel Jones, and Gordon Jones and wife Tamara. She is also survived by her beloved pet, Gizmo.

Ava is preceded in death by her father, Edward Jones, Sr.
