Benny John Michel

Morgan City, LA - Benny John Michel, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on January 21, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on November 22, 1961, in Gretna, Louisiana, Benny touched the lives of many with his kind heart.

Beyond his profession, Benny had a passion for remote-controlled planes, finding pure joy in flying them. The thrill of navigating the skies above provided him with a sense of freedom and exhilaration. When he wasn't reaching for the skies, Benny enjoyed hunting and fishing, often incorporating his cast net into his adventures. These pastimes allowed him to connect with nature and unwind in the tranquility of the great outdoors.

Benny's memory will forever be cherished by his loving spouse, Hilda Michel, and their children, Percy, Randall, Robin, Brittanie, and Rylee. He was a pillar of strength and support for his family, always offering his unwavering love and guidance. Benny's brother, David Michel, and sister, Catherine Boudoin; best sister-in-law Mary Michel Blanco; God child Shauna A. Priestley and her wonderful children Braxton, Zane, Delilah and more nieces and nephews also share in the sorrow of his passing.

Benny's love extended beyond his immediate family, as he adored his pet cats, Boots and Peety. Their companionship brought him immeasurable joy and comfort throughout his life. 

Benny was preceded in death by his parents Percy and Hilda Michel; three brothers, Clerance Michel, Carroll Michel Sr., and Jessie Michel; two sisters, Rena Windhorst and Jane Hernandez.
