Betty L. Rulf

Betty L. Rulf, 87, a resident of Morgan City, passed away peacefully, Monday, August 19, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born November 16, 1936, in Morgan City, the daughter of Dorothy Billiot Lovell and Thomas Lovell.

Betty was a Catholic Daughter and would have celebrated 40 years with them on August 21, 2024. 

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her adopted daughter, Robbie Chaisson Walton and husband Ernest of Franklin; grandson, Shane Chaisson and wife Charlotte of Hammond; two great-granddaughters, Joni and Anna Chaisson of Hammond; two nephews Andrew Rulf of Berwick and Carl LaCoste of Sulphur; two nieces, Vickie Rulf Pierotti of Berwick and husband Don and Sharon Guidry and husband Marvin of Morgan City. 

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Thomas Lovell; husband, Otis Joseph Rulf; two sisters, Justine Marie Billiot and Annabelle Billiot Stubblefield; two brothers- in-law, Haywood Rulf and Arthur Rulf; sister-in-law, Florence LaCoste; nephew, Roger Rulf; nieces, Mable Ann Rulf, and Katherine Oubre; great-niece, Celeste Guidry.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Brett Lapeyrouse officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, August 23, 2024, at Twin City Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m., until 10:00 p.m., and will continue Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Twin City Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. After Mass, Betty will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery Mausoleum.
