It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brea Nicole Paul of Patterson, La. Brea was born on November 13, 1999 in Morgan City, La. She was a resident of Patterson La. A vibrant and unforgettable young woman, taken far too soon at the age of 26 on May 11, 2026. Brea was truly the life of the party—someone whose presence could instantly lift a room and whose smile seemed to light up the entire world. Wherever she went laughter followed and memories were made that will never fade.
Known for her sassy spirit and unapologetic personality, Brea lived life boldly and on her own terms. She may have been a little spoiled, but it only added to her charm—she knew her worth and wasn’t afraid to shine. Beneath that fiery exterior was a deeply loyal soul, someone who loved fiercely and stood by those she cared about no matter what.
As a bartender, Brea didn’t just serve drinks, she created connections. She had a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and valued; turning strangers into friends with ease. Her amazing energy was contagious, and her loving heart left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know her. She also loved keeping her nails done, always making sure she looked her best, and carried herself with confidence and style.
Brea leaves to cherish her memories her loving mother Allison Hue, her father Demetrius Paul, Bonus Mom April Paul, sisters Shandranek Mallet and Sania Paul (Deonte Harris Sr); brothers Shawn Verdun and Hubert (QJ) Keller Jr.; Maternal Grandparents Alton Sr and Frankie Hue; Paternal Grandparents Caroline and Earl Grogan; Bonus grandparents Audrey and Mario Verdun Sr; Godmother Sheri Boutte (Samuel Boutte Jr.); Godfather/Uncle Alton Hue Jr.; Uncles Dustin Hue (Lindsey), Jesse Williams, Artha Williams (Dewanda), Dwayne Williams; nephew Deonte Harris Jr.; niece Tenley Jenkins and host of other relatives and friends.
Brea was proceeded in death by her Grandfather Artha J. Williams; maternal great grandparents Larry and Betty Hue and Selma and Milton Fabre; paternal great grandparents Jesse and Almetra Paul and Theresa Henry.
