Brenda Mary Sons Billiot, 82, a resident of Bayou Vista, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Patterson Nursing Home.

Brenda was not just a counselor at Fairview Treatment Center; she was a beacon of hope and kindness for so many. Whether she was giving advice, baking delicious treats, or decorating stunning cakes, Brenda had a unique ability to make everyone feel special. Known affectionately as "Aunt Brenda" to countless individuals, she was the epitome of selflessness, always putting others before herself and asking for little in return. Her gentle soul and abundant grace left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. A dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church, Brenda’s faith was unwavering. She loved to sing and filled the church choir with her beautiful voice, sharing her love of God through melody. She taught Sunday school, nurturing the minds and spirits of young ones, inspiring them with her passionate dedication.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two children, Troy Billiot and Tina Billiot Rainey and significant other James Carline; three grandchildren, Troy Russel Billiot, Hannah Billiot King and husband Jay, Sean Rainey; five great-grandchildren, Ella Billiot, Aria and Emma King, Shepard Billiot, and Leia King Bonilla.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund Sons and Evaline Written Sons; sister, Sylvia Breaux; father of her children, Batran Adam Billiot.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 27, 2026, at First United Methodists of Berwick. Memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m., until the time of services. There will be refreshments in the fellowship hall immediately following services.
