Brenda Wiggins, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on April 2, 1949, in Morgan City, Louisiana, she was a cherished member of a family deeply rooted in the commercial fishing industry. This connection would shape her life and career, as she later married Ernest Wiggins, a dedicated commercial fisherman.
Brenda spent her life contributing to the family trade, earning a reputation as a skilled shrimp seller within her community. Her contributions extended beyond her profession; she was a source of love and support to her three devoted sons, Jason, Chad, and Dustin Wiggins. Brenda lived a vibrant life, and in her early years, she was particularly fond of the classic beehive hairstyle. She will also be remembered fondly for her unwavering devotion to her family and her vibrant spirit that brightened the lives of those around her.
She is survived by her three sons, Jason Wiggins and wife Jaelynn, Chad Wiggins, and Dustin Wiggins, as well as her loving sisters, Kathleen Daigle and Ella Scully, and her brother-in-law, Joey Wiggins and wife Veronica. She will also be missed by her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Brenda's family finds comfort in the memories they shared and the love she imparted to each of them.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Ethel Hebert; her loving husband, Earnest Wiggins; one sister, Margarette (Peachy) Adams; and two brothers, Wilford Hebert Jr., Aaron Hebert.
Brenda Wiggins will be missed profoundly and will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.
