Obituary

Carolina Ann Anslum Sauce, 89, a resident of Stephensville, passed away peacefully, Friday, September 11, 2026, at Ochsner St. Mary.

Carolina was born January30, 1937, the daughter of Ella Hymel Anslum and Bernie Joseph Anslum.

Carolina dedicated over 70 years of her life to the art of knitting, specializing in creating nets which not only showcased her creativity but also her deep commitment to the life-saving equipment industry. Her hands, skilled and steady, produced not just functional items but also beautiful pieces that often reflected her love for the warmth and comfort of home. A true lover of the outdoors, Carolina found joy in tending to her plants and flowers, mowing the lawn during warm days, and enjoying the beauty that nature provided. It was in these simple yet profound activities where she felt most at peace.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her four children, Cindy Sauce Solar and husband Randy, Lawrence Sauce and wife Stacey, Chris Lee Sauce and wife Bobbie Jo, Bernie Joseph Sauce Sr and wife Anna.; grandchildren, Cherie Rebadri and husband Donald Jr., Darrell Daigle Jr. and wife Sheryl, Byran Daigle, Megan Daigle, Paul Daigle, Alyssa Sauce, Bernie Sauce Jr. and wife Haley, Lawrence Milton Sauce and wife Danielle, Ashley Sauce, Brennan Sauce; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; siblings, Ruby Solar, Hellen Billiot, Gloria Oubre, Terri Anslum, Bobby Anslum.

Carolina was preceded in death by her parents, Ella and Bernie Anslum; husband, Milton Lawrence Sauce; daughter, Nancy Daigle; brothers, Jerry Anslum, Eddie Anslum, Bernie Anslum Jr.; sister, Laura Lee Faulk

A graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Morgan City Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her daughter, Nancy.
