Carolyn Wooters Matthews

Carolyn Wooters Matthews, 79, a resident of Berwick, passed away peacefully, Thursday, November 25, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Carolyn was born October 21, 1942, in Morgan City, the daughter of Lawrence “Frex” Wooters and Birdie Price Wooters.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Tommy Matthews of Berwick; two children, Loren Sampey Kenney and husband Curtis of Berwick, Reid M. Sampey of Vicksburg, Mississippi; two grandchildren, Jackson Price Kenney and Vivien Leigh Kenney.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Frex and Birdie Wooters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 29, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Sabino Rebosura III and Deacon Randall Jennings officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, November 29, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. After Mass, Carolyn will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
