Chad David Stephens, 52, a resident of Morgan City, passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 26, 2026, at his home.

Chad was born October 1, 1973, in Morgan City, the son of Charles Andrew Stephens and Linda Domangue Stephens.

Chad was a family man, who always put his children first. He loved sports and enjoyed every opportunity to coach, especially his own children. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or just enjoying the water and beach life, Chad found joy in sharing those experiences with family and friends. He especially loved and cared for his younger brother, Timmy, who has Down Syndrome. Their relationship was a meaningful part of his life and the bond they shared will always be remembered. Chad also enjoyed watching Sunday football with his mother. This became a weekly tradition during the NFL season, filled with a shared love of the game, especially with the Saints. 

He loved to cook and had a genuine passion for food, always ready to whip up a delicious meal. Having spent many years living by the beach in Florida, he carried that love for the ocean with him, making every sunny day a reason to smile. 

Chad is survived by his loving spouse, Mario Weaver Stephens; his dear mother, Linda Domangue Stephens; two children, Noah Stephens and Mia Stephens; siblings, Angela Stephens LeBlanc and husband John, Charles “Bubba” Stephens and wife Paula, Timothy Stephens; numerous nieces and nephews.

Chad was preceded in death by his father, Charles Andrew Stephens.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
