Charles Leo Amador Jr.

It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles Leo Amador Jr., who departed this life on June 22, 2025, at the age of 78. He was born on December 21, 1946, in Morgan City, Louisiana. Charles was a lifelong member of the Pharr Chapel Methodist Church and resided in Berwick.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 25 years, Shirline Lacoste Amador; two sisters, Charlotte May Taylor and husband William, and Ina Catherine Clarke; and parents Lillie Gillen and Charles Leo Amador Sr.

For much of his life, Charles worked as an insurance salesman. Later, he was employed by the state of Louisiana. Charles enjoyed playing video poker, watching football, fishing, and tending his property. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends. He will be fondly remembered by all who loved him.

Charles is survived by his brother, John Amador and wife Diane; sister Jacqueline Shely and husband George; brother-in-law, Stephen Clarke; and many nieces and nephews.
