Charles "Keith" Fontenot

Charles “Keith” Fontenot, 63, a resident of Rayne, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at his home.

Keith was born on September 15, 1958 in Covington, the son of Eugene Wilbert Fontenot and Cecelia Picou Fontenot.

Keith was an operator for the St. Mary Parish Landfill for 10 years before moving to Rayne where he was employed at the American Legion Hall. He loved spending time with his family and friends, but more than anything, he cherished the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Tammy Fontenot of New Iberia; three daughters, Amanda Parker of New Iberia, Sabrina Fontenot of Rayne, Adella LaCoste of New Iberia; four grandchildren, Alexis Brown and husband Jermaine, Tyrese Fontenot, Bria Parker and Joshua Garrick Jr.; four great grandchildren, Brooklynn Brown, Chyna Brown, Tyrese Fontenot Jr. and Lionel Fontenot; nine nieces and nephews, Bill Fontenot, Lisa Fontenot, David Fontenot, Gene Fontenot, Jelena F. Bennett, Dana Fontenot, Dawn Fontenot, Kristie Fontenot and Madison Fontenot.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Ronnie Fontenot, Bobby Fontenot, William Fontenot and Michael Fontenot.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Twin City Funeral Home with Pastor J.J. Uys officiating. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
