Clint LaCoste

d. September 24, 2022

Clint Paul LaCoste, 59, lost his battle with Lymphoma cancer on September 24, 2022, with his loving family by his side. He was born to the late Jesse and Mamie Jane LaCoste on January 17, 1963, in Morgan City, Louisiana. He lived a simple life, and while his motto was, “It doesn’t matter,” Clint always helped those he loved as he really had such a giving heart.

He is survived by his brother Russell Barrilleaux and wife Shelby, his sisters Rosie Elliott and partner Joe, Jessie Gauthier and husband Jay, Nancy Domangue and husband Tommy, Charlene Ohmer and husband Gerald, Irene Dubois, and sister-in-law LaWanda LaCoste; close cousin John Aucoin, and godchild Jacob Aucoin; He is also survived by nieces Alizabeth, Meagan, Madison, Donna, Bridgett, Polly, Poppy, Amanda, Jessica, Erika; nephews Little Russell, Nate, Andrew Jr, Alfie, Paul, Frank Jr, Jay Jr, Dustin, James, Bruce, and Cody; and close friends Mike, Mark, and Angel. A special thanks to his long time boss Randal Andras for always understanding and putting up with his unique work ethic.

Clint is preceded in death by his grandparents Rose and Paul Barrilleaux, parents Mamie Jane and Jesse LaCoste, eldest sister Diane Ratcliff, brother-in-law Andrew Ratcliff Sr., younger brother Herbert LaCoste, and cousin Luke Aucoin.

He was an accomplished outdoorsman who enjoyed getting to spend time down the bayou at his camp and on the water attempting to out bass fish his baby brother Rusty. He loved pizza, Louisiana King cakes, and the New Orleans Saints. He found joy in getting to spoil his nieces and nephews with snacks and over the top gifts, and he always showed up for birthday celebrations and crawfish boils. Clint was a lucky winner of video poker and lottery prizes, but money and other material possessions did not hold value in his life as he frequently gave it away to those he loved. He will be greatly missed by all those that loved him.

Memorial services will be held at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City, Louisiana on October 3, 2022, from 5pm to 9pm. There will be no burial since his final act of giving was donating his body to science. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be used to make someone smile.
