Connie Holman Radtke, Sept 5, 1947-Sept 15,2026

Connie Holman Radtke, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, Louisiana, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 15, 2026. She was born on September 5, 1947, to the late Hubert G. Holman and Onelia Tourera Holman.

Connie graduated from Morgan City High School with the class of 1964. Soon after graduation, her brother, Harold

Holman, introduced her to the love of her life, Robert E. “Bob” Radtke, originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They married later that year and moved to New Orleans, where Bob was stationed while serving in the Marine Corps. Upon his discharge, they returned to Morgan City.

Connie then began a 20-year career with Dr. Thomas Tate, working primarily as an allergy technician before transitioning into audiology and hearing aid sales. She obtained sales licenses in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Wisconsin.

In 1972, Connie and Bob welcomed their only child, Robert Thomas “Rob” Radtke.

In 1986, with Connie’s encouragement, Bob opened Radtke Construction, Inc., “RadCon,” where she served as secretary and treasurer. She retired in 1996, when their son, Rob, joined the company, and devoted more time to planning their busy travel schedule, something she enjoyed almost as much as the vacations themselves.

In retirement, Connie and Bob fulfilled one of her greatest bucket-list dreams by visiting all 50 states. They also traveled to many European countries, sometimes more than once, especially when Connie could find a golf course near their destination for Bob. They especially treasured sharing these adventures with their dearest friends, Bernie and Jean Hunter. Connie was often planning a trip, taking a trip, or planning the next one.

Mardi Gras was also a cherished part of Connie’s life. During her 33 years as a member of the Krewe of Galatea, she served on the board and belonged to the Galatea Queens Club. Her influence on Mardi Gras in the community can still be felt today.

Connie’s adventurous spirit led her to fulfill two more bucket-list dreams: skydiving at age 65 and riding on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle at 66.

Connie’s love of Broadway inspired many trips to New York, experiences she cherished sharing with her grandchildren and friends.

Connie will be deeply missed by her son, Rob, and his wife, JoAnne; her grandson, Robert T. “Robbie” Radtke Jr., and his fiancée, Caroline Hargroder; her granddaughter, Sarah Michelle Radtke; and her niece, Debby Holman Malpass, and her husband, Ron Malpass, of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Bob; her parents, Hubert and Onelia Holman; and her brother, Harold J. Holman.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Connie’s caregivers, Evelyn, Bridget, and Gail, as well as to ACG Hospice, for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Stephen Catholic Church, Berwick, Louisiana or Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Morgan City, Louisiana.

Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City on Friday, September 18th. Visitation form 9:00-10:30am with mass starting at 10:30am.  We will have a private internment service for the family at a later date.
