David Anthony Sons

David Anthony Sons, 48, a resident of Morgan City, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

David was born on November 10, 1972 in Morgan City, the son of Thomas M. “Tommy” Sons and Victoria “Vikki” Fonseca Sons.

David was a very patient person who loved to tinker with stuff; he was always trying to fix things, especially any type of electronics. He constantly had a smile on his face and was always willing to help anyone. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his bicycle and loved to draw.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Kacy Bonin Sons of Morgan City; one son, Courtland Sons of Morgan City; his parents, Tommy and Vikki Fonseca Sons of Morgan City; five step daughters, Autumn Norman and Kelsey Norman, both of Ricohoc, Alisha Flenner, Stephanie Flenner and Rebekah Flenner all of Morgan City; one grandchild, Haisel Grace Norman; one brother, Benji Sons and wife Terri of Morgan City; paternal grandmother Eunice Gibson of Bayou L’Ourse; one niece, Madison Sons and one nephew, Zack Sons both of Morgan City; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

David was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy and Joyce Fonseca; paternal grandfather, Leo Sons.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Twin City Funeral Home with Father Brett Lapeyrouse officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service, and following the service, David will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
