Ellen Faye DeHart Rink, 79, of Stephensville, Louisiana, passed away on September 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of the family she cherished so deeply. Born September 1, 1947, in Houma, Louisiana, Ellen lived a life defined by her faith, her love for others, and above all, her family.

Ellen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, but to those who loved her most, she was simply Mamaw. She truly never knew a stranger. She had a special way of welcoming people into her life and making them feel as though they had always been part of the family. Whether you were family by blood or simply found your way into her home and heart, Ellen made sure you knew you belonged.

She loved to read and write, and she loved to cook. She could happily spend hours talking about recipes, sharing ideas, and discussing something delicious she wanted to make. But nothing in this world brought her more joy than her family. She loved her children dearly and held an especially tender place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being their Mamaw was one of the greatest joys of her life.

Her faith was an important part of who Ellen was. She carried a deep trust in God throughout her life, finding comfort, strength, and peace in her faith, especially during her final days. Her family finds comfort in knowing that the faith she held onto so dearly carried her home.

Ellen will be deeply missed by her children, Tamara Jones and husband Gordon of Patterson, Spring Rink Aucoin of Stephensville, Wayne A. Rink Jr. and Tracy Moore of Stephensville, Autumn Rink and Keith Gros of Stephensville, and Destiny Griffin and husband Heath of Leslie, Arkansas; Jane Mariat DeHart of Stephensville, her brother, Cary DeHart; sisters, Nancy Punch and Merrill Liner and husband Clinton Sr.; nine grandchildren, Joshua Jones, Alanna Rink and fiancé Cody Brownlee, Kristen LeBlanc and husband Zachary, Barry Johnson, Trevor Johnson, Virginia Twisdale and husband Hunter, Hayden Rink, Isabella DeHart, and Landon Breaux; and six great-grandchildren, Addison Rink, Kinley LeBlanc, Kayden LeBlanc, Ashlyn Brownlee, Bryce Twisdale, and Blakely Twisdale.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Maria DeHart; her beloved husband, Wayne Allen Rink Sr.; her granddaughter, Ali Rose Aucoin; her great-grandson, Layton Matthews Brownlee; her sister, Deanna Liner and husband Morris Sr.; her brother-in-law Joffrey Punch Sr.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Trinity Episcopal Church, with memorial visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continuing until the time of Mass.
