It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ethan Joseph Sons, who departed this life on August 18, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on May 30, 1958, in Morgan City, Louisiana, Ethan was a resident of Berwick, Louisiana.

Ethan had a love for racing and combat sports, particularly NASCAR, drag racing, and UFC. He had a competitive spirit and would race anything he could, including cars, boats, and everything in between. He enjoyed the time he spent at his son’s mechanic shop and shared his passion for automobiles, particularly his cherished Ford Mustang GT. When he wasn’t at the shop, he enjoyed driving his car and spending time at home with his spouse, Terri, and their dog, Max.

Ethan is survived by his beloved spouse of 20 years, Terri Bergeron Sons, and their son, Jerry Sons and wife Danielle; four step-daughters, Paige Mabe, Crystal Taylor and husband JP, Regan Rebardi White and husband Eddy, and Antoinette Ourso. He is also survived by his siblings: Ballard Sons, Jr. and wife Jan, Mica Sons and wife Netta, and Marilyn Dupuis and husband Charles. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, including Angelle Mabe, Ethan Taylor, Alexis Ourso, Christian Davis, Mia Blair, Sadi Taylor, and Kindle Driskill. He was loved by a host of nieces and nephews, and he was especially close to his nephew, Daniel Sons.

Ethan was preceded in death by his parents Ballard, Sr. and Dalilla Sons; one brother, Lynwood Sons, Sr.

Ethan will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will remain in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
