Eva Ann Dinger Prine

Eva Ann Dinger Prine, 71, a resident of Schriever, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Ochsner St. Mary Hospital.

Eva was born on August 4, 1950 in Morgan City, the daughter of Everett Dinger and Lillian Lombas.

Eva loved to cook and bake for her family, but especially loved all the holiday cooking that she provided for her family. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and cherished every moment she was able to spend with them. She had a passion for sewing, but especially making quilts, in which she made many quilts for her family members over the years. Eva loved spending time with her best friend of over 50 years Ms. Gayle Lancon.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter, Faye Mayon and husband Carl of Bayou Vista; five grandchildren, Edward Hampton Jr., Cagney Hampton, Ashlee Mayon, Carlee Aucoin and husband Bobby and Averie Sargee; 3 great grandchildren, Kyran Hampton, Preston Aucoin and Brentlee Aucoin; two brothers, Charles Mitchell and wife Jodi of Gibson and Carlos Lombas and wife Patty of Houma; one sister, Rose “Noonie” Dinger.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Kenneth “Kenny” Legendre and Donald Joseph Rock Jr.; seven siblings, Louis Dinger, Peggy Mitchell, Irvin Mitchell Jr., Ben Mitchell, Louann Mitchell, Lillian Younger and Bebrah “BB” Mitchell.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Twin City Funeral Home with a memorial visitation being held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
