Fara C Thibodaux

Fara C. Thibodaux passed away 8/14 just shy of her 95th birthday. She was proceeded in death by her father Peter Joseph Chery who died when she was just a baby, and her mother Victorine Dubuc Chery.

Fara was raised by her mother, aunt & uncle. D.J. & Adaline "Dole" Boudreaux. The Boudreauxs' had the first restaurant in Morgan City, which they lived above until a fire destroyed everything. Fara went off to college and become a legal secretary to Mr. Wise, Herb Duncan and Judge Bob Robertson. An only child she married Peter Robert Thibodaux Jr. of Houma and had one child Kathleen. Unfortunately she became a very young widow. She dedicated her life to taking care of her mother and aunt.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, aunts and one uncle Blackie Dubuc. Fara was a devoted Catholic. She was active at Sacred Heart Church "folding" bulletins and in earlier years the Ladies Alter Society.
