Frances Rita Spinella Price Bullard

7/8/41 – 9/26/26

Frances Rita Spinella Price Bullard, born July 8, 1941, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2026, at the age of 85. She was a loving mother, mawmaw (grandmother) and devoted Catholic.

Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Dean Bullard, her former husband, Donald Price, her parents, Vincent Paul Spinella and Louise Pauline Daigle Spinella, her brothers, Vincent Arthur Spinella, his wife, Sue Spinella, and Johnny Spinella, and her son-in-law, Ferrel Joseph DeHart.

For her whole life, Frances was able to share her faith with family and friends. Frances attended mass and a holy hour in adoration every Sunday at St. Bernadette Church in Bayou Vista for more than 25 years. Her community at St. Bernadette’s grew from meeting parishioners attending Sunday mass to those that served in adoration, to her beloved Come Lord Jesus group, and to those she met assisting in CCD.

Frances worked for many years as an accounting clerk at Merval’s Market. Later in life, she enjoyed her time at Stage working in the Men’s Department. She treasured the friendships and memories that were made throughout her years of work.

Frances enjoyed keeping her home in order and tidy. Her slow days would be spent on her couch flipping through television channels to watch “Say Yes To The Dress,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “Downton Abbey,” various Hallmark Christmas movies, New Orleans Saints games, and more. She found joy in spontaneous trips to Houma and Lafayette with her grandson, Austin DeHart. Whether this be to admire architecture of a church in Lafayette, to shop at a store, or to simply get a Starbucks Frappuccino; she loved spending time and being chauffeured by her grandson. Frances always enjoyed cooking. She was unmatched in her cooking skills, specifically her chicken stew, fried fish, and the way she could cook Castalano’s sausage.

Frances will be lovingly remembered by her son, Donald Joseph Price, and his wife, Jae; her daughter, Christine Marie Price DeHart; her two grandchildren, Austin Joseph DeHart and Kamryn Clare DeHart Boudreaux and her husband, Ethan; along with extended family, and dear friends.

Frances leaves behind a legacy of memories, faith, family, kindness, devotion, and the ordinary. Her love for the Holy Catholic Church and her family was evident in the way she lived each day.

The family would like to thank her compassionate nurses at Ochsner’s St. Mary 6th Floor, Ochsner’s St. Mary Rehab 7th Floor, and Legacy Rehabilitation & Nursing and the care team at Hope Hospice for providing for Frances with comfort and dignity during her final days.

A public viewing will be held Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 9am-12:30pm at Twin City Funeral Home 412 4th Street Morgan City, LA 70380. The family will have private viewing from 8-9am. Rosary will be said at 10:30am led by her Come Lord Jesus family. A mass of Christian burial will begin at 1pm at St. Bernadette Catholic Church 1112 Saturn Road Bayou Vista, LA 70380 led by Father Connor Poirrier. Graveside services will follow the mass at the Morgan City Cemetery.
