Gary Joel Angeron Sr.

Gary Joel Angeron Sr., 74, a resident of Morgan City, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Gary was born April 7, 1948, the son of Burl Angeron and Anna Bell Nini Angeron. Gary proudly served in the Korean War. He enjoyed travelling; Gary would drive hours and hours to Arkansas and Texas to have a cup of coffee with family and drive back home. He also enjoyed camping and boating. Gary was a great mechanic and loved tinkering and fixing all types of motors. The most important thing to Gary was his love for his family. He lived his life for them and would do anything and everything for them. His grandkids were his world. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son, Gary Angeron II and wife Tracy of Morgan City, three brothers, Robert Angeron and wife Carol of Donner, Wayne Angeron and wife Amanda of Gibson, and Mark Angeron and wife Cabrini of Berwick; one sister, Linda Cheramie and husband Joe of Morgan City; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Angeron of Bourg and Charlotte Angeron of Centerville; seven grandchildren, Melanie Wilson and husband Ryan, Angel Saam and husband Alex, Jenna Swanda and husband Sean, Christin Angeron, Gary Angeron III and wife Courtney, Galen Angeron and wife Dominique, Gevin Angeron and wife Kenleigh; 12 great-grandchildren, Lisa, Kaitlyn, Brooklyn, Lexi, Anna, Lucinda, Ashton, Skye, Drake, Castiel, Amelia, and Brenleigh. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Burl and Anna Bell Angeron; wife, Patricia Ackmen Angeron; daughter, Lisa Avery; two brothers, Gregory and Byron Angeron; great-granddaughter, Angel Angeron. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Twin City Funeral Home with Father Mike officiating. Memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Twin City Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. After services, Gary will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery, where military honors will be rendered by the East St. Mary Funeral Squad.
