Glenn Joseph McNemar, Jr., a lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the age of 58.
He was born on July 16, 1967, in Morgan City.
Glenn was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Glenn worked various jobs throughout his life—mostly as a warehouseman for companies such as Good All Rubber, Oceaneering, LAPCO, but also as the Morgan City Animal Warden until his sickness caused an early retirement.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 38 years Jerrie Anslem McNemar; his three sons Glenn McNemar III, Blake McNemar and significant other Kari, Blaine McNemar and wife Taylor; fur son Max; his only daughter Brittany McNemar Bourgeois and husband Colton; his only granddaughter and light of his life and angel Emma Claire; his three grandsons Theodore Bourgeois, Carter McNemar, and Bentley McNemar; grandpups Daisy, Gus, Bella, and Mia; grandcats Noonie, Stormy, FatFat, and Loki; father Glenn McNemar Sr. and wife Rosie; mother Betty Young and husband Willie; brothers Kevin McNemar and wife Dawn, Craig Young and wife Jessica; mother-in-law Shirley Adams Anslem; sisters-in-law Sherie Michel and husband Raymond, Vickie Nini and husband Bubba, and Alana Andrus and husband Kenneth; godchild Megan Adams Vining; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother Walter McNemar; sister Iliana McNemar Edwards; father-in-law Gerald Anslem; brother-in-law Monte Adams; grandparents Walter and Daisy Konesky, Dennis Billiot, and Allen and Theresa McNemar; fur pup Homey; fur cat Gumbeaux; grandpup Lily; grandcat Puddles.
The family would like to thank Dr. William Cefalu for his amazing care and compassion over the years.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for monetary donations to help cover unexpected expenses.
