Helman Joseph Aucoin

Helman Joseph Aucoin, 70, a life-long resident of Pierre Part, passed away at his home Saturday, August 31, 2019.

Helman was born February 19, 1949, in Pierre Part, the son of Ciryl Aucoin and Albertine Metrejean Aucoin.

Helman’s favorite thing to do was fish; he also enjoyed being out in his yard, cutting grass, and listening to Swamp Pop music. Helman loved his family, his grandchildren were his life. He was a very generous soul, and would give his shirt off his back for anyone.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Pamela Vicknair Aucoin of Pierre Part; one son, Keith Aucoin and his wife Barbara of Pierre Part; four brothers, Earnest, Harry, Davis, and Aubrey Aucoin; one sister, Anna Mae Alberes; two grandchildren, Amber Cedotal and husband Kyle, Connor Aucoin; one great-grandson, Kayden Cedotal.

Helman was preceded in death by his parents, Ciryl and Albertine Aucoin; 7 siblings, Shirley, Rodgers, Laura Mae, Justillian “Shorty”, George, Anette, and Lory Aucoin.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at New Covenant Community Church at 2650 Hwy 70, Pierre Part, Louisiana, 70339. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 at New Covenant Community Church from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services.
