Jacqueline LeBlanc Aucoin, 80, a resident of Amelia, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Jacqueline was born on September 20, 1939 in Morgan City, the daughter of Lionel LeBlanc Sr. and Beulah Blanchard LeBlanc.
Jacqueline loved to spend time with her family, but especially loved the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She never missed an opportunity to go to garage sales to see what kind of hidden treasures she could find. Trips to the Amelia Belle were always in order when there was some free time, and most times she walked out a winner! Jacqueline had a love for people and loved to help them, she cared for many sick people over the years as she served as their sitter.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by four daughters, Nadine Picou and husband Eddie of Morgan City, Jeanie Kennedy and husband Edward of Amelia, Wendy Clayton of Independence, Shelley Cortez and husband Charles of Bayou L’Ourse; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one brother, Russell Lajaunie of Plano, Texas.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, Lionel Sr. and Beulah Blanchard LeBlanc; husband of 58 years, Clarence “Buggy” Aucoin; one great grandson, Gavin Chilton; two sisters; six brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2019 at St. Andrew Catholic Church with a visitation being held from 9:00 a.m. until Mass time. Following Mass Jacqueline will be laid to rest in the St. Andrew Church Cemetery.
