Jake “Butch” Joseph Pillaro III, 70, a resident of Morgan City, passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 3, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Butch was born October 21, 1954, the son of Jake Joseph Pillaro Jr. and Betty Raymond Pillaro.
Butch lived life to the fullest, whether it was as a warehouse manager at the local lumberyard or hitting the road as a roadie for Blackwood and the Band with No Name. His passion for woodworking and music left an indelible mark on everyone he met. Jake had a knack for bringing people together, always sharing stories and laughter, and was often spotted with his beloved dog, Dottie, by his side.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Debra Young Pillaro; one son, Jake “JJ” Joseph Pillaro IV and wife Kelly Jo; one granddaughter, Emily Pillaro, two sisters, Christine Farias, Dina Jaet and husband Michael; one brother, Jerry Pillaro and wife Kim; numerous nieces and one nephew and two great nieces; two brothers-in-law, Mark Young and his wife Hellen, and John Young and companion Linda.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Betty Pillaro; son, Anthony Pillaro; two brothers, Ricky and Sidney Pillaro.
Keeping with his wishes, Butch will be cremated, and his ashes will be placed in the Morgan City Cemetery.
