James "Joe" Mayon Sr.

James Joseph “Joe” Mayon, Sr., 77, a native of Morgan City, La. and resident of Bayou Vista, La., passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Visitation in honor of James on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City, La. Visitation will resume Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00a.m at Twin City Funeral Home. Interment will be in Morgan City Cemetery.

Joe is survived by his sons, James ”Jimmy” Mayon, Jr. (Paulette) and Joey C. Mayon (Susan); his brother, Ricky Mayon; his sisters, June Mire, Barbara Dupuis (Reggie), Linda Carl (Danny), and Jackie Dolci (David); his grandchildren, Haley Babin (Hunter), Nicholas Mayon, Nikki Guillotte (Wade) and Adrianne Landry (Matt); his great-grandchildren, Waylon Babin; Christopher, Corey, Chase and Gracie Guillotte; and Kayden, Blake and Jaxson Landry.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Scharlette C. Mayon; his parents Clao and Belle Mayon; his daughter, Vicki Mayon; and one brother, Bobby Mayon.
