Janet Rink Carmouche, 72, a resident of Morgan City, passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Ochsner St. Mary, surrounded by her loving family.
Janet was born January 25, 1953, in Morgan City, the daughter of James “Jimmy” Rink and Betty Landry Rink.
Janet loved to travel and create unforgettable memories with her family. Her adventurous spirit took her on many vacations, where she cherished the time spent with her family and friends. She also loved Mardi Gras and attended many balls and parades with friends. Janet was also known as a nurturing soul and an avid animal lover. Janet had a furry best friend named Grady, which she loved tremendously. She also loved plants and flowers and enjoyed filling her home and heart with the vibrant life of flowers. Janet was an excellent cook and loved to share her delicious meals with friends and family. Her sweet and gentle nature touched everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kelly Carmouche Franklin and husband Todd; son, Chad Carmouche; grandson, Camren Elliott; sister, Debbie Rink; niece, Sharee Vidos; nephew, Clint Adams and wife Heather; great nieces and nephews, numerous friends and family.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Betty Rink; nephew, Wayne Vidos.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to The Aviary Creature Rescue or the ARC (Advocate Rescue Companion) Please contact Twin City Funeral Home for arrangements to donate.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:30 P.M., Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Twin City Funeral Home, with Father Brett Lapeyrouse officiating. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the rosary at 2:00 p.m. on behalf of Janet’s wishes, her cremains will be placed with her parents in Morgan City Cemetery.
