In Loving Memory of JoAnn ( Jodi ) Mitchell

JoAnn Mitchell, born on February 21, 1960, peacefully passed away on November 23, 2023 at her residence in Gibson, LA. Beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Jodi will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jodi possessed an innate intelligence and a love for expressing herself through writing poems and poetry. Her words painted vivid pictures and touched the hearts of those who had the privilege of hearing or reading them.

Jodi loved gaming. She often created lasting memories with her husband, Charles, as they rode around exploring the scenic beauty of their surroundings. However, her greatest joy was derived from the precious moments spent with her family.

Jodi's legacy lives on through her children, Justin Airell Mitchell, Coty Allen Mitchell, and her belove husband, Charles Russell Mitchell Sr.. Their lives were profoundly enriched by her love and guidance. In addition, Jodi leaves behind four adoring grandchildren: Nevaeh, Mikaela, Cadence, and Landon. She was also survived by her brothers, Randy Guidroz ( Annette ) and Tony Guidroz ( Amiee ), as well as her sisters, Kathy Gaspar and Brenda Kerr ( Joe ). She treasured every moment spent with them, and her love will continue to hold a special place in their hearts.

Jodi was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Rita Guidroz, and one son Charles Russell Mitchell Jr.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
