John Earl Stone

John Earl Stone, aged 81, of Berwick, Louisiana, passed away on September 21, 2025. Born on October 15, 1943, in Springhill, Louisiana, John lived a life filled with dedication to his family and his work as a lineman.

Throughout his life, John dedicated himself to his profession as a lineman, a role that brought him immense pride and joy. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his craft, as well as for the kindness he showed to his family and friends.

Known for his passion for collecting knives, John had an appreciation for craftsmanship and history that he shared with those around him. He touched the lives of many, and his warm-hearted nature and insightful stories will be dearly missed.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Sharon Stone, and their three sons: John, Boyd, and Michael Stone. He also leaves behind his sister, Juanita Stone, and a close-knit family that includes five grandchildren—Trent, Amber, Eric, Jordin, and Alisha—and three great-grandchildren, Everligh, Averie, and Loralei. John's family held a special place in his heart, and he will be remembered for the love and support he provided throughout their lives.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Vernie Stone; one son, Charles Stone and two brothers Loyd Stone, Randell Stone.
