Joseph B. McGee

Joseph B. McGee, 87, a resident of Bayou L’Ourse, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  

Joseph was born August 11, 1934, in Jackson, Mississippi, the son of Joseph Edward McGee and Maggie Stampton McGee.

Joseph will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his four daughters, Martha Ann Streetman of Bayou Vista, Kathryn Giroir of Bayou L’Ourse, Carolyn Smith of Bossier City, Sandy Fabre and husband Johnny of Bayou L’Ourse; three sisters, Doris McGee, Theresa Curry, Faye McCullin and husband Jimmy, all of Shreveport; nine grandchildren, Michelle Goodman of Shreveport, Sandra Wyatt of Mississippi, Tiffany Williams of Shreveport, Christian McGee of Bayou Vista, Jessica Ann Turner of Bayou Vista, Robert Wyatt of Bayou L’Ourse, Dennis Turner Jr. of Patterson, Shelby Newcomb of Bayou L’Ourse, Ashley Reyenga of Tennessee; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Maggie Stampton; first wife, Martha Anderson McGee; second wife, Mary McGee; third wife, Betty McGee; grandchildren, Nikkie Nicole Henry and Christopher Myers.
