It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judy Ann Dale LaCoste Crochet, who left us on February 14, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on October 3, 1954, in Morgan City, Louisiana, Judy was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who spent her life making a difference in the lives of those around her.
Judy’s unwavering dedication to her work as a bookkeeper at Harold’s Supermarket and as a bank teller at MC Bank were just two of the many ways she influenced her community. She was known for her warm smile and kind heart, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh.
She is survived by her son, Gerald “Jerry” Crochet, III, and his wife, Kathleen; her daughter, Paula Crochet; her granddaughter, Rynn Crochet; her grandsons, Eli and Coe Crochet; her three brothers, Jerry LaCoste, Sr. (Debbie), Paul LaCoste, Jr., and Gibson LaCoste (Dena); her three sisters, Yvette Manley (Kevin), Yvonne Parsons (Bill), and Mona Verret (Troy); her two brothers-in-law, Chris Crochet (Audrey) and Audie Crochet (Becky); her sister-in-law, Linda Crochet Landry; her family friend, Cinda Yonge; and many nieces and nephews. Judy’s legacy will live on through her family, who loved her dearly.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Crochet, Jr.; her parents, Agnolia and Paul LaCoste, Sr.; and her sisters, Juanita Ganaway, Maria Sheehan, and Marilyn Pye.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Judy’s life at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on February 20, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place at Morgan City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Jason Pye, Michael Pye, Paul LaCoste, III, Jerry LaCoste, Jr., Tommy LaCoste, and Brian Parsons. Honorary pallbearer, Eli Crochet.
Judy will be missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
