Julie Boyne, aged 68, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026 at her residence in Patterson, Louisiana. Born on December 15, 1957, in Rockport, Texas, Julie lived a life filled with dedication, love, and an unwavering commitment to those around her.

Julie built a lifelong career in radio, most of her career with KQKI, where her voice became a familiar and comforting presence to many. Her work not only showcased her talent but also reflected her passion for connecting with people anywhere a good time and music intertwined. Beyond her professional achievements, Julie was known as a nurturing mentor and a mother to all, a role she embraced wholeheartedly throughout her life.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Edward "Doody" Boyne; her children: Michael Boyne and wife Stepanie Boyne, Kelly Salinas and husband Oscar Salinas, Kitrena Spivey, and Tiffany Bagwell and husband Lance Bagwell; as well as her grandchildren Jackson, Parker, and Katherine Spivey, John Henry Boyne, Marley and Daschel Richter, Mateo Salinas, McKenzie Summers and Baylin Bagwell. She is also survived by her sisters Linda Oakely and Helen Lafleur with husband Henry Lafleur. Julie was preceded by her parents, Fannie and Barney Hobbs; her son Matthew Boyne; her sister Kathy Bell; her brother Larry Hobbs and brother in law Jim Oakley.

Julie’s legacy is one of warmth and generosity. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 05:00 PM to 09:00 PM at Twin City Funeral Home 412 Fourth St.
