Obituary

Kenneth Benjamin Kiff Sr., a resident of Morgan City, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

Kenny was born on July 26, 1967, in Metairie, Louisiana, to Hughes Benjamin Kiff Jr. and Katherine Guichet Kiff.

Kenny dedicated his career to the oilfield industry, working as a professional crane operator, inspector, welder, and fitter since 1987. He took pride in his work and always had a strong work ethic. With decades of experience and knowledge, he could fill whatever role a job required. Being a crane operator was his passion, and no lift was too small or too heavy for him. His skill, dedication, and commitment to his trade reflected the hardworking man he was.

Affectionately known as “Pawpaw,” Kenny cherished spending quality time with his grandbabies. He also loved cooking and was a master on the grill, often bringing friends and family together over good food. These moments, along with his love for his family, will remain treasured memories for those who knew and loved him.

Kenny will be greatly missed and forever lovingly remembered by his children and stepchildren: Kenneth Kiff Jr., Joshua Kiff, Taylor Kiff and wife Kennedi, Ashlee Masters, Jessica Thornton, and Joyce Thornton; his grandchildren: Dawson Kiff, Archer Kiff, Winter Kiff, Kozmo Kiff, Carson Hester, Parker Sexton, Carlee Bennett, Elizah Thornton, Adilaide Bedgood, and Harleigh Bedgood; his fiancée, Patricia “My Red” LaFleur; his bonus grandchildren, Lily May and Draven May; his two siblings, Dawanna Bergeron and husband Jeff, and Robin Guidry; and the mother of his children, Ginger Kiff Berryhill.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Hughes Benjamin Kiff Jr. and Katherine Guichet Kiff; his Aunt Grace; and his grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00p.m., Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Word of Life Family Church in Patterson.
