Lawrence "Toby" Wayne Connor

Lawrence “Toby” Wayne Connor, 68, a resident of Diamondhead, Mississippi, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Touro, LCMC Health, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Toby was born June 3, 1953, the son of Lawrence Connor and Rita Derise Aucoin.

Toby was a man of many talents that included cooking, playing the guitar, photography, and even earning a pilot license where he flew his family in small Cessna planes. He will mostly be remembered for his amazing talent of art that touched so many lives of family and friends and will live on as his legacy. Toby was a man of God, admired by many for his leadership and mentoring skills where God was always in the forefront of everything he did. His painting prints will be available at Gallery 220 in Bay St. Louis, MS with $5 of the proceeds going towards MAC (Mississippi Arts Commission) that will enable funds to allow art lessons for children, which was one of Toby’s desires to do in Retirement.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Dolores “Dodie” Duplantis Connor of Diamondhead, MS; three children, Jason Connor-Flores and wife Amy of Thibodaux, Marla Duplantis of Diamondhead, MS, and Hillary O’Bryan of Keywest, FL; one brother, David Connor of Labadieville; two sisters, Josie Cancienne and husband Chris of Labadieville, Bonita “Bonnie” Peltier and husband Johnny of Bayou Sale; six grandchildren, Connor Duplantis, Lillie Connor-Flores, Gabriele Connor-Flores, Andrew O’Quinn, Romeo O’Bryan, and Valentine O’Bryan; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dianne and Peewee Duplantis of Berwick; brother and sister-in-laws, Dean Duplantis and wife Susan, Debra Duplantis, Dayna Waters and husband Randy, Dru Mitchell and husband J.J., all of Berwick.

Toby was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Connor and Rita Aucoin.

A Memorial service will be held October 2^nd at 1pm at First Baptist Church in Bay St. Louis, MS. with a fellowship following. Address: 141 Main St., Bay St. Louis, MS. 39520.
