Lorena Marie Alcina Lamar
June 8,1937 - July 1, 2026
Lorena Marie Alcina Lamar, 89, born in Bayou Boeuf, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
A lifelong resident of Morgan City, Lorena was one of six children and shared an extraordinary bond with each of her siblings. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who dedicated her life to raising her family and creating a home filled with love, laughter, music, and unforgettable memories.
Her home was the heart of every holiday and family gathering. Lorena had a gift for making people feel loved, comforted, and at home. She also cherished dancing with the love of her life, Bill, whether at a celebration or simply together in their living room, where some of their sweetest memories were made.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, William P. Lamar, Sr, her mother, Anna Fryou Dupre; her father, Clement; her sisters Stella Topham, Marie Dupre, TheresaBlanchard and brothers John Alcina and Joe Alcina.
Lorena is survived by her children William P. Lamar, Jr (Michele), Loren D. Lamar, June Daigle (Calvin); grandchildren Melissa Stewart, William Patrick Wiley, Shannon Lamar Allgood, Adam Fields, Travis Lamar, Matthew Lamar, Sarah Fields, Jacob Daigle, Brent Daigle; great grandchildren Cameron Wiley, Reid Wiley, Braden Lamar, Kaylie Gomez Calvetti, Kai Gomez, Alexis Lamar, Lindsey Lamar, Victoria Lamar, Elise Lamar, Chaz Daigle, Lily Grace Daigle, Kylie Allgood Wilson, Austin J. Allgood; and four great granddaughters, Miley Rose Lamar, Kenley Blake Calvetti, Millie Jane Wilson, and Wrynn Marie Wiley along with countless cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be a memorial to honor her memory at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice is appreciated.
