Madeline Breaux Couvillier

Madeline “Maddy” Breaux Couvillier, 77, a resident of Franklin, passed away peacefully December 24, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Maddy was born on Christmas Eve in 1948, the daughter of Leroy Breaux and Lena Solar Breaux.

Maddy’s grandchildren were her world; she loved spending time with them. Because of being born on Christmas Eve, Maddy loved the holiday season and enjoyed spending it with family.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Justin Couvillier; two sons, Shanon Wade and wife Debbie, Toney Wade Jr.; daughter, Alisa Lang and husband William; step-daughter, Bonnie George and husband Chester; seven grandchildren, Shanon Wade Jr. and wife Macey, Emily McConathy and husband Coby, Ryan Wade and wife Maria, Luke Patterson and wife Kinsey, Jessa Wade, Alayna-Kay Champion, and Ava Grace Lang; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Don Breaux; godchild, Jenny Champion and husband Jason; best friend, Nancy Lang.

Maddy was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Lena Breaux; sister, Oline Kelly; grandchild, Adley Kate Lang.

The family would like to thank all the nurses at Southern Grace Hospice for their tender love and care over Maddy.

Pallbearers will be Shanon Wade Jr., Ryan Wade, Luke Patterson, Coby McConathy, Daikwane Polidore, Jorion Romero. Honorary pallbearer Jason Champion.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Baldwin. Visitation will be held Monday, December 29, 2025, at Twin City Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m., until 9:00 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Baldwin from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. After Mass, Maddy will be laid to rest in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Cemetery.
