Marvin John Dinger

Marvin John Dinger, age 81, of Patterson, Louisiana, passed away peacefully with his wife and family by his side on May 17, 2025. Born on February 8, 1944, in Berwick, Louisiana, Marvin was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend whose dedication to his family was evident in all aspects of his life.

Marvin lived a life filled with love, adventure, and a profound appreciation for nature, particularly through his passions for hunting and fishing. He found great joy in watching football, particularly cheering for his favorite teams, LSU and the New Orleans Saints

Marvin is survived by his loving spouse, Diana Dinger; his sons, Jason Dinger, Lockwood (Locky) Bonin III, and Shannon Dinger; and his daughters, Dawn Foster, Tammy Landry, and Sarah Ford. He is also survived by his brothers, Eldridge (ED)Dinger and Robert Dinger. He will also so be miss by his twenty-two grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Marvin's legacy of love and devotion will be cherished by his family and friends.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents Eldridge and Nola dinger, and one sister Linda Brodnax.

A Visitation will be held at Cornerstone Ministries on May 23, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location beginning at 11:00 AM. Following the service, Marvin will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.
