Mary Lou Guidry Fuselier

Mary Lou Guidry Fuselier, 89, a resident of Morgan City, passed away peacefully, Monday, July 21, 2025, at Legacy Rehabilitation Facility. 

Mary was born July 7, 1936, in Abbeville, the daughter of Elias Guidry and Melvina Palumbo Guidry. 

Mary Lou devoted herself to her family as a dedicated homemaker, nurturing her loved ones with unwavering love and care. A woman of deep faith, Mary Lou found strength in her spirituality, remaining steadfast in her prayers and commitment to her beliefs. Her devotion to family and friends was equally passionate; she was always ready to lend a helping hand and share her remarkable culinary skills, leaving many with cherished memories of her great cooking. Mary also loved flowers and plants and enjoyed gardening. 

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her three children, Jennifer Caillouet and husband Clyde, Kim Olivier and husband Robert, Charles “Charlie” Fuselier and wife Kim; seven grandchildren, Tammy, Charity, Kerri, Robert III, Samantha, Shauney, Rhet; 15 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Delores Verret and Floyd Guidry; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Elias and Melvina Guidry; husband, Lester Ober Fuselier; 10 siblings; daughter, Debra Stevens, granddaughter, Tyra Marae Olivier and a special nephew, Henry Vidos. 

The family would like to thank Maison Jardin, where Mary Lou resided for the past 10 years; she loved all of the staff. 

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Twin City Funeral Home, Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The celebration of Mary Lou's life will take place on July 23, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, where a graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., with Father Herb Bennerfield officiating
