Mary Sons

Mary Ann Sons, 77, a native of Morgan City, LA and resident of Patterson, LA, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023.

Relatives and friends of Mary’s family are invited to attend a Visitation in her honor on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, beginning at 6:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City, La.

Mary is survived by her sons, Homer W. Sons, Jr. (Michelle) and John Darren Sons, Sr. (Maria); her daughters, Tammy Sons Pennison (Rene) and Kristy Thompson; her brother, Herbert Durocher, Jr.; her sisters, Gloria Marino, Diana Ackman and Julie Simoneaux; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Mary was proceeded in death by her husband, Homer W. Sons, Sr.; her parents, Herbert Durocher, Sr. and Natalie C. Durocher; her brother, Harvey Durocher; her sisters, Dolly Chapman and Wanda Sons; 1 great-grandchild.

Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved flowers and was a collector of dolls. She enjoyed interior decorating and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
